The organisers of the Manufacturing Indaba are pleased to announce that bookings are now officially open for the 14th Manufacturing Indaba Conference and Exhibition, taking place on 13 - 14 July 2027 at the Sandton Convention Centre, Johannesburg, South Africa.

As Africa's leading platform dedicated to advancing manufacturing growth, industrialisation, innovation and investment, Manufacturing Indaba 2027 will once again bring together manufacturers, policymakers, investors, technology providers, industry associations and business leaders from across the continent to shape the future of African manufacturing.

Following the success of the 2026 event, which attracted many delegates, exhibitors and visitors from across Africa and beyond, the 2027 edition will build on the momentum created through robust discussions on industrial competitiveness, localisation, digital transformation, energy resilience, skills development and regional trade under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

The 2027 programme will place an even greater emphasis on practical solutions that enable manufacturers to improve productivity, embrace advanced technologies, strengthen supply chains, secure reliable energy, access new markets and attract investment.

"Manufacturing remains one of Africa's greatest economic opportunities," said Liz Hart, Managing Director of Manufacturing Indaba. "As global supply chains continue to evolve and African economies pursue greater industrialisation, the Manufacturing Indaba provides an essential platform for collaboration between government, industry and investors. We are excited to open registrations and invite the manufacturing community to be part of shaping Africa's industrial future."

The conference will feature high-level keynote addresses, ministerial participation, executive panel discussions, technical workshops and case studies covering topics including:

  • Advanced Manufacturing and Industry 4.0
  • Artificial Intelligence and Digital Transformation
  • Energy Security and Industrial Decarbonisation
  • Automation, Robotics and Smart Factories
  • Localisation and Regional Value Chains
  • Export Growth and AfCFTA Opportunities
  • Industrial Financing and Investment
  • Skills Development and the Future Workforce
  • Supply Chain Resilience and Logistics
  • Sustainable Manufacturing and Circular Economy

Running alongside the conference, the Manufacturing Indaba Exhibition will showcase the latest manufacturing technologies, automation solutions, industrial equipment, digital innovations and services from leading suppliers and solution providers, creating valuable opportunities for networking, business development and partnership formation.

With demand for exhibition space and delegate attendance continuing to grow year on year, manufacturers are encouraged to secure their participation early.

Manufacturers, suppliers, investors, government departments, development agencies and service providers are invited to book exhibition stands, sponsorship opportunities and delegate places now to ensure they are part of Africa's premier manufacturing gathering.
