Labthink has launched the C690M Nondestructive Package Leakage Detector, a testing system designed to evaluate pharmaceutical packaging integrity using non-destructive leak detection methods.
The C690M is developed to detect trace leaks in pharmaceutical packaging formats such as vials, ampoule bottles, cartridge bottles, infusion bottles and prefilled syringes. The system uses vacuum decay and pressure decay testing technologies to identify leakage without damaging the tested package, enabling manufacturers to maintain packaging safety and regulatory compliance.
According to the company, the system is engineered in accordance with internationally recognized testing standards including ASTM F2338.
The device integrates a dual-method testing system that combines vacuum decay and pressure decay techniques. This configuration allows the equipment to support different pharmaceutical package types and detection requirements.
The C690M also incorporates a number of automated functions designed to improve testing reliability. These include an automatic clamping system that secures the test chamber during operation and adjustable vacuum levels that allow operators to set detection parameters according to specific sample requirements.
The testing chamber is designed with a transparent structure that enables operators to observe the sample during inspection. The system can also be equipped with an optional built-in oil-free vacuum pump intended to provide contamination-free operation without routine maintenance.
Labthink stated that the equipment uses advanced pressure detection components designed to deliver stable measurement results regardless of changes in ambient environmental conditions. The system also integrates automatic microflow control technology that simulates different leakage hole sizes without requiring manual adjustments.
The testing platform includes an integrated control system designed to simplify operation and data management. A 12.1-inch embedded touchscreen tablet running the Windows operating system allows users to monitor testing activity through real-time pressure curve displays. The system also supports automatic leakage rate calculation and statistical analysis of results.
Additional connectivity features include USB and network ports that allow data transmission, external access and remote system upgrades. The system also supports printing of test results through compatible universal printers.
Labthink indicated that the C690M is designed to meet regulatory and quality assurance requirements in pharmaceutical manufacturing environments. The system includes verification functions through calibration and compensation methods, supports data traceability requirements aligned with GMP standards and provides multi-level user permission management with customizable access rights.
The company said the launch of the C690M aims to support pharmaceutical manufacturers in maintaining packaging integrity through accurate and repeatable nondestructive testing methods.
