Indian Society for Non-Destructive Testing Nagpur Chapter celebrated ISNT Day at the Materials Engineering Centre, Department of Metallurgical Engineering, Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, bringing together NDT professionals, ISNT members and industry participants for technical engagement and knowledge exchange.
The event was attended by key office-bearers of the ISNT Nagpur Chapter, including Chairman Jeevan Ghime, Secretary Parag Pathak and Treasurer Shivendra Rahate, along with executive committee members and participants from the non-destructive testing community.
A major highlight of the programme was a live demonstration focused on defect generation, orientation and detection using Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT) techniques. The technical session provided attendees with practical insights into advanced ultrasonic inspection methods widely used for defect characterization and industrial asset evaluation.
The gathering also served as a platform for professional interaction and discussion on future technical initiatives within the NDT sector. During the meeting, ISNT members collectively expressed their commitment to organizing additional technical and professional programmes aimed at strengthening industry collaboration and enhancing technical knowledge in non-destructive testing.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Chairman Jeevan Ghime, acknowledging the contributions of participants and organizers in successfully conducting the event.
