Marine robotics startup EyeROV has raised ₹13 crore ($1.44 million) in a pre-Series A funding round co-invested by AWE Funds and Unicorn India Ventures. The fresh capital will be deployed to accelerate research and development, drive new product innovation, and expand the company’s footprint across India and international markets.

Founded in 2017, EyeROV operates in the marine robotics and underwater inspection segment, developing remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) and unmanned surface vessels (USVs) for infrastructure, energy, and defence applications. The company claims to have executed more than 150 projects for over 80 clients spanning the power, oil and gas, ports, shipping, and government sectors.

EyeROV’s client portfolio includes leading industrial and infrastructure players such as Tata Power, NHPC, Adani, ONGC, BPCL, and Maersk, along with government and defence organisations including the Indian Navy, DRDO, and the Indian Coast Guard. The startup has also recently secured an order worth ₹47 crore from the Indian Navy, underscoring its growing presence in the defence and maritime security space.

The company integrates advanced non-destructive testing (NDT) payloads into its robotic platforms, including ultrasonic testing, sonar imaging, and AI-based inspection tools. These capabilities enable detailed inspection and condition assessment of underwater and marine assets while reducing operational risk and human exposure.

EyeROV serves a wide range of sectors, including power, oil and gas, ports, infrastructure, marine research, and defence. Its business model spans both direct product sales and a robotics-as-a-service (RaaS) offering, allowing clients to access advanced underwater inspection capabilities without long-term capital investment.

The latest funding round positions EyeROV to strengthen its technology roadmap and scale its operations as demand for robotic and non-destructive inspection solutions continues to grow across critical infrastructure and maritime sectors.
