AMETEK, Inc. has announced a definitive agreement to acquire a portfolio of instrumentation businesses from Indicor, LLC in an all-cash transaction valued at approximately $5 billion.
The acquisition includes Indicor Instrumentation, a group of businesses focused on designing and manufacturing mission-critical instrumentation and measurement solutions for industrial and scientific applications. The companies serve multiple industrial end markets and maintain recurring revenue streams through consumables, services and aftermarket support.
According to AMETEK, the acquisition aligns closely with its existing instrumentation and industrial technology portfolio, including sectors related to industrial inspection, measurement, monitoring and process reliability.

We see meaningful potential to create value through integration into AMETEK’s operating model.”
Indicor Instrumentation generates approximately $1.1 billion in annual sales and operates with profitability levels consistent with AMETEK’s existing businesses.
Following completion of the transaction, the acquired businesses will be integrated into AMETEK’s Electronic Instruments Group (EIG) and Electromechanical Group (EMG) based on market alignment and product portfolios.
AMETEK stated that the acquisition will be financed through borrowings under its existing credit facility alongside new debt issuance.
The transaction remains subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals and is expected to close during the second half of 2026.
