ACT LAB has expanded its presence in the United States through the acquisition of Sriven Labs, adding a new laboratory location in New Jersey to its growing testing network.
ACT LAB specialises in cannabis and hemp testing and compliance, while Sriven Labs is an established licensed laboratory serving New Jersey’s regulated market. The acquisition provides ACT LAB with an immediate local presence in the state while bringing Sriven Labs’ existing relationships and team into a larger laboratory infrastructure.
The transaction further expands ACT LAB’s testing network, which now brings together more than 100 years of collective testing experience. The company’s approach focuses on standardised analytical methods, quality systems and consistent testing practices across multiple regulated markets.
For the laboratory testing sector, the acquisition reflects the continued consolidation of specialised testing businesses as companies expand their geographic reach and build broader analytical capabilities.
ACT LAB’s expansion into New Jersey follows a strategy centred on developing geographic density, acquiring established laboratories, standardising systems and methodologies, leveraging shared infrastructure and expanding service capabilities.
The move also places Sriven Labs within a broader national laboratory network while maintaining its established presence in New Jersey’s regulated testing market.
Although cannabis and hemp testing represents a specialised segment of the laboratory industry, the acquisition highlights a wider trend across testing and inspection markets. Similar consolidation strategies are being seen across environmental, food, pharmaceutical and other analytical testing segments, where established laboratories provide platforms for geographic expansion and service growth.
With the addition of Sriven Labs, ACT LAB continues to expand its US testing footprint while strengthening its capabilities within the regulated laboratory testing sector.
