In pipeline inspection and maintenance, precision and accuracy are paramount. Dexon, a leading figure in this field, has taken significant strides with its headquarters' innovative facilities. Spanning a vast 7-acre area, the headquarters boasts a state-of-the-art in-line inspection test yard, revolutionising inspection data verification and customised pigability testing. Dexon's headquarters stands out with its in-line inspection test yard, a sprawling complex designed for comprehensive testing and training purposes. The facility is meticulously crafted to cater to various needs, including inspection data verification, client pipeline replication, third-party factory assurance testing, and hands-on engineer training.

Description: U-loop pump through lines are fitted with launchers and receivers allowing for the testing of tools requiring gas and liquid propulsion at pressure.

Versatile Testing Environments

Split into three sections, Dexon's yard accommodates a myriad of inline inspection test loops and lines, catering to diverse testing applications. From a u-loop pump through ILI test lines to infinity loop test lines, the facility offers a versatile environment for testing and calibration. Moreover, it is entirely self-sufficient, equipped with underground storage and collection tanks, alongside above-ground water storage tanks and pumping stations, ensuring seamless operations.

Defect Sample Library

Central to Dexon's testing prowess is its defective sample pipe spool library. This comprehensive repository houses an array of sample pipe spools, featuring both man-made and natural defects. These samples play a crucial role in inspection data verification and testing, facilitating the determination of critical metrics such as probability of detection (POD), Probability of Identification (POI), and Probability of Sizing (POS).

Pull-through lines are open-ended pipe spools used for the testing of calliper and magnetic flux leakage ILIs.

Under its Department of Pipeline Services (DPS), Dexon offers a spectrum of services aimed at addressing diverse client needs. These services encompass inspection data verification, client pipeline replication, third-party factory assurance testing, and hands-on inspection engineer training. Dexon's commitment to excellence is evident in its rigorous testing protocols and adherence to industry standards. Dexon's expertise extends to handling "unpiggable" or challenging pipeline inspections, thanks to its advanced R&D capabilities and cutting-edge facilities. Through collaborative efforts and customised testing parameters, Dexon tackles complex scenarios with finesse. Examples include testing scenarios involving back-to-back bends, wye testing, multiple diameters, and oversized tees, among others.

Dexon's on-site in-line inspection data verification and customised pigability testing stand as a testament to its dedication to excellence and innovation in the field of pipeline inspection. Through rigorous testing protocols and tailored services, Dexon continues to redefine industry standards and pave the way for a safer and more efficient pipeline infrastructure.
