NDT Quality Training and the Victor Kilo Fund have awarded their first joint Aviation Maintenance Technician (AMT) scholarship to Samuel Babatunde Eilija, supporting his pursuit of an Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) licence and professional development in nondestructive evaluation.

Eilija, a Nigerian national, received 40% financial assistance toward his tuition in recognition of his commitment to aviation maintenance and technical training. According to NDT Quality Training, his training journey included travelling to the United States, completing a Flight Safety borescope course in Dallas, and working with the team at Aircraft Structural Inspections, an FAA Part 145 repair station in Mountain View, Arkansas.

“I am committed to advancing my career in aviation maintenance and Non-Destructive Testing, with a strong focus on safety, precision, and continuous improvement,” said Samuel Babatunde Eilija. “Through ongoing training and professional development, I aim to contribute meaningfully to the aviation industry while also supporting knowledge transfer through training and mentorship.”

The partnership between NDT Quality Training and the Victor Kilo Fund was established following discussions between Beau Hardison and Jeffrey Madison during AirVenture 2025 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Hardison attended the event to receive the General Aviation Awards Aviation Maintenance Technician of the Year honour, while Madison was promoting his aviation safety publication.

The scholarship reflects a shared focus on strengthening the future workforce in aviation maintenance and nondestructive evaluation by expanding access to technical education and professional training. NDT Quality Training delivers FAA-approved and ICAET-accredited programmes in nondestructive testing, avionics, instrument and radio systems, and FAA maintenance safety, while the Victor Kilo Fund works to address talent shortages across the aerospace sector through education initiatives.
