I.T.S Non-Destructive Testing and Inspection Services (Pty) Ltd has received a 2026 Global Recognition Award in recognition of its sustained growth and contributions to infrastructure inspection and protection across South Africa's engineering sector.
Founded in 2016, the company has grown from a two-person technical consultancy into a business employing more than 20 qualified technicians and specialists. The award recognizes the company's commercial performance and technical consistency, with cumulative revenue exceeding R100 million while supporting clients across the construction, engineering, and industrial sectors.
Led by Chief Executive Officer Mr. Ibrahim Vanker, I.T.S Group of Companies has focused on expanding its inspection capabilities through continued investment in equipment, personnel, and quality systems. By 2019, the company had achieved ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 17020 certifications, strengthening its position in the non-destructive testing (NDT) and inspection market.
According to the company, it generated nearly R29.5 million in sales between January and mid-July 2025 while serving more than 40 client accounts.
From an NDT perspective, the company provides a range of inspection and asset integrity services, including phased array ultrasonic testing (PAUT), digital radiography, magnetic flux leakage (MFL) inspection, cathodic protection, corrosion management, and quality assurance. These inspection techniques are used to identify defects in pipelines, storage tanks, and structural assets, supporting preventive maintenance and infrastructure reliability.
I.T.S also operates as an approved inspection authority and holds BBBEE Level 1 status. The company has delivered inspection services for organizations including Transnet, eThekwini Municipality, Umgeni Water, ESOR Construction, John Thompson-ACTOM, Stefanutti Stocks, SBS Tanks, and WK Construction South Africa (Pty) Ltd.
