InnovMetric, a leader in 3D metrology software solutions, has launched its PolyWorks® Digital Thread Partnership Program, aimed at strengthening cross-platform interoperability and accelerating the digitalization of manufacturing and quality assurance processes, particularly in non-destructive testing (NDT) and dimensional inspection domains.
In collaboration with leading software firms High QA, AutoForm, and Duwe-3d, InnovMetric’s initiative seeks to resolve longstanding challenges in data exchange across engineering, manufacturing, and quality systems. By integrating partner platforms with PolyWorks' universal metrology ecosystem and centralized data management server, the program ensures seamless and real-time digital data flows—a critical advancement for industries relying on accurate, traceable 3D measurement data.
Traditionally, the file-based data exchanges used in dimensional inspection workflows have led to fragmented systems with duplicated datasets, version control issues, and inefficiencies in NDT-centric environments. The PolyWorks digital thread counters these bottlenecks by offering a single source of truth that streamlines dimensional inspection data input and output across the enterprise, enabling smarter, faster, and more reliable decision-making in asset integrity, part validation, and quality assurance processes.
“Our existing PolyWorks connectors cover a wide array of applications and processes and we plan to add more connectors in the future. However, the use of 3D measurement data is expanding, and the number of applications that could benefit from it is rising as well. So, we think that the task is too big to solely rest on our shoulders. This is why we have decided to partner with software companies to allow them to develop and commercialize digital connectors that exchange 3D measurement information between PolyWorks and their own solutions,” says Marc Soucy, President of InnovMetric. He concludes, “It was natural for us to take this decision, as we had already determined that PolyWorks would be an open solution.”
The digital thread program is especially relevant for NDT professionals and manufacturers seeking enhanced traceability, real-time insights, and automated quality loops across complex inspection workflows. With increasing industry demand for closed-loop quality systems and digital twin frameworks, this strategic move positions InnovMetric and its partners at the forefront of industrial transformation.
