Position Summary:

The NDT/NDE Technician is responsible for performing Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and inspection services at various client sites in accordance with TEAM procedures, customer specifications, and applicable industry codes. The role requires certified personnel with expertise in one or more NDT methods who can accurately interpret inspection results, maintain detailed documentation, ensure compliance with safety standards, and uphold TEAM’s commitment to quality, professionalism, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform non-destructive testing using certified methods in accordance with TEAM procedures, client specifications, and applicable codes.
  • Interpret, evaluate, and document inspection results using appropriate forms, digital systems, and reporting platforms.
  • Supervise and provide guidance to NDT Assistants and support personnel during field operations.
  • Calibrate, operate, and maintain NDT equipment and related tools safely and effectively.
  • Coordinate with project managers and clients regarding job scope, site access, and inspection results.
  • Maintain accurate and timely inspection reports, timesheets, and safety documentation.
  • Ensure proper radiation safety practices, including the use of dosimetry and area barricading where applicable.
  • Adhere to TEAM’s Life Critical Expectations and all site-specific safety requirements.
  • Uphold industry codes along with TEAM’s standards of professionalism, integrity, and quality.
  • Perform additional duties of a similar nature or level as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle driving record.
  • Ability to provide documentation supporting one or more TEAM Level II qualifications or certifications in accordance with TEAM’s written practice and certification requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic with a safety-first mindset.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Multiple NDT Level II certifications or equivalent ASNT, PCN, or CGSB certifications.
  • API 510, API 570, API 653, CWI, AMPP, or other advanced certifications.
  • Radiation Safety Training, IRRSP certification, or State Industrial Radiographer Card (where applicable for Radiographic Testing).
  • Familiarity with digital reporting systems or NDT data software.
  • Previous experience in refineries, petrochemical plants, pipeline projects, or fabrication shops.
  • Current TWIC card, OSHA 10/30, or other industry-standard safety certifications.

Requirements:

  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and background check.
  • Ability to obtain TWIC, DISA, and/or other required site access credentials.
  • Ability to travel frequently and work extended hours when required.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces, elevated work areas, and extreme weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Sufficient mobility to work in refinery, plant, and industrial environments, including climbing ladders and stairways.
  • Ability to communicate effectively through speech, hearing, or other reasonable accommodations.
  • Sufficient vision to perform inspection duties.
  • Manual dexterity to perform field and office-related tasks.
  • Ability to multitask while maintaining focus and effective communication.
  • Willingness to work indoors and outdoors in plant environments.
  • Ability to work around production machinery, elevated noise levels, and changing weather conditions.
  • Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Willingness to travel out of town periodically.
  • Ability to work extended shifts, weekends, and alternative work schedules.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
