Position Summary:

The NDT Field Service Technician is responsible for leading and managing tank inspection projects, delivering high-quality inspection services, and ensuring compliance with applicable industry standards. The role involves conducting inspections, identifying repair requirements, recommending inspection intervals, preparing technical reports, and maintaining strong customer relationships. The technician will work independently and as part of a small team while supporting inspection activities across the UK and internationally.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage on-site tank inspection projects.
  • Provide guidance and support to a small inspection team.
  • Conduct storage tank inspections in accordance with applicable standards and project requirements.
  • Identify repairs, maintenance requirements, and improvement opportunities.
  • Recommend inspection intervals to support compliance and asset integrity.
  • Prepare inspection reports and perform technical reviews.
  • Deliver high-quality customer service and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Travel to ROSEN sites and client locations throughout the UK and internationally as required.
  • Work safely at height and in confined spaces when performing inspection activities.

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • EEMUA 159 certification or API 653 certification.
  • PCN Level 2 Ultrasonic Testing (UT) certification.
  • Experience inspecting storage tanks.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Valid passport.
  • Right to work in the UK.

Desirable:

  • STI SP001 certification.
  • Experience with additional NDT methods such as Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Eddy Current Testing (ET), or Penetrant Testing (PT).

Requirements:

  • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
  • Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Flexible and willing to travel extensively within the UK and overseas.
  • Willingness to work overtime when required.
  • Punctual, dependable, and professional approach to work.
  • Successful completion of a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
