Position Summary:

Oceaneering is seeking an NDT Technician to perform non-destructive testing (NDT) inspections that ensure the reliability, integrity, and safety of client assets. The role involves conducting inspections using multiple NDT methods, interpreting inspection results, maintaining testing equipment, and supporting asset integrity initiatives. The NDT Technician works closely with engineering, maintenance, and client teams to deliver high-quality inspection services while maintaining compliance with industry standards, safety requirements, and company procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform non-destructive testing (NDT) inspections using Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Radiographic Testing (RT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), and Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT).
  • Interpret inspection results and prepare accurate reports in accordance with industry codes and client requirements.
  • Maintain, calibrate, and verify NDT equipment to ensure reliable and accurate inspections.
  • Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to identify potential asset integrity issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Conduct on-site inspections at client facilities while maintaining a safe and professional working environment.
  • Document inspection findings and maintain detailed records to support quality control and traceability.
  • Stay informed of advancements in NDT technologies, techniques, and industry best practices.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior technicians to support knowledge sharing and technical development.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations during all inspection activities.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) or Engineering, preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of experience performing NDT inspections, preferably within the energy or industrial sectors.

Certifications:

  • PCN/SNT Level 2 Ultrasonic Testing (UT) 3.1 & 3.2 certification, or willingness to obtain the qualification within six months of assignment.
  • PCN/SNT Level 2 Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT) certification.
  • PCN/SNT Level 2 Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) certification.
  • Level 1/2 Radiography and Radiation Protection Supervisor (RPS) certification, or willingness to obtain the qualification within six months of assignment.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Good working knowledge of industry codes and standards, including ASME, API, and ASTM.
  • Proficiency in operating NDT equipment and software for inspection and data analysis.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple inspection projects.
  • Physical capability to perform inspections in various environments, including confined spaces.

Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel and perform on-site inspections as required by client needs.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to obtain required security clearances.
