Position Summary:

The Rope Access NDT Technician is responsible for performing non-destructive testing and visual inspection activities while utilizing rope access techniques to support inspection operations. The role is based in Barrow-in-Furness on an ongoing 2/2 rotation commencing 19th August 2026 and requires personnel with demonstrated industry experience and the required certifications to carry out inspection activities safely and effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform non-destructive testing activities using approved inspection methods.
  • Conduct visual inspections as part of inspection operations.
  • Perform inspection work utilizing IRATA rope access techniques.
  • Carry out assigned inspection activities in accordance with applicable procedures and project requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated relevant industry experience.
  • IRATA Rope Access certification.
  • PCN Level 2 Ultrasonic Testing (UT) certification.
  • PCN Level 2 Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) certification.
  • Visual Inspection qualification.
