Position Summary:

ROSEN Europe B.V. is seeking an NDT Field Service Technician to join its Hoogvliet branch, serving the Rotterdam and Benelux region. The role is responsible for performing non-destructive testing (NDT) inspections to verify the integrity of technical installations within the petrochemical industry. Following an internal training period, the technician will independently conduct inspections on storage tanks, pipelines, welds, and other assets using a variety of NDT methods, while preparing inspection reports, maintaining client communication, and supporting equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform non-destructive testing inspections on technical installations following the successful completion of the internal training program.
  • Inspect storage tanks, pipelines, weld joints, and components for wall-thickness loss and other integrity concerns.
  • Conduct inspections using Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT), and Visual Testing (VT) techniques.
  • Work collaboratively with field teams to complete inspection assignments.
  • Compile inspection findings into clear and structured reports for clients.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients throughout inspection activities.
  • Complete accurate administrative documentation related to inspection work.
  • Perform simple maintenance and minor repairs on inspection equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

  • Completed MBO Level 4 education, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience with or interest in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT).
  • Technical work experience in an industrial or metalworking environment is considered an asset.

Certifications:

  • Possession of one or more NDT certifications, such as UT, MT, PT, or VT, or willingness to obtain them.
  • VCA certificate preferred, or willingness to obtain one.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work according to established procedures and safety regulations.
  • High level of accuracy, responsibility, and critical thinking.
  • Proactive attitude with the ability to take initiative.
  • Ability to prepare clear and structured technical reports.
  • Good command of Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Visio is considered a significant advantage.

Requirements:

  • Valid Category B driver's license.
  • Flexibility to work additional hours when required.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the Benelux region and occasionally work abroad.
  • Residence in the Rotterdam area.
  • Ability to provide a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) as part of the hiring process.
