Position Summary:-
Applied Technical Services, LLC (ATS) is seeking contract NAS-410 Level II NDT Technicians to support a temporary assignment in the Seattle, Washington area. The position is focused on Eddy Current Testing (ET), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Ultrasonic Testing Shear Wave (UTSW), and Radiographic Testing (RT), with multiple NAS-410 certifications preferred.
The project is expected to begin as soon as September and is anticipated to continue through December, with approximately 60 hours per week expected. Competitive pay, per diem, and travel in and out are provided.
Prior military personnel with aviation NDI/NDT training and documented experience are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities:-
- Perform NDT examinations of materials in accordance with applicable procedures, codes, standards, and specifications.
- Perform duties as a NAS-410 Level II Technician in one or more applicable NDT methods.
- Interface with department managers and clients to determine the scope of work and work priorities.
- Work to meet customer expectations and assigned project requirements.
- Prepare written instructions as required.
- Organize and report examination results.
- Work independently while supporting other team members.
- Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications:-
- Ability to qualify as a NAS-410 Level II Technician in any or all of the following methods:
- Eddy Current Testing (ET).
- Ultrasonic Testing (UT).
- Ultrasonic Testing Shear Wave (UTSW).
- Radiographic Testing (RT), including Film or DDA.
- Documented classroom hours in each applicable method.
- Official on-the-job training (OJT) and experience hours for Level II recertification in each applicable method.
- Additional NDT certifications in accordance with NAS-410 are preferred.
- Prior military aviation NDI/NDT training and documented experience are welcomed.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to learn and comply with company policies and procedures.
Requirements:-
- Applicants must be certifiable to NAS-410 Level II in at least one applicable NDT method.
- Applicants must provide documented classroom hours and official OJT/experience hours required for Level II recertification.
- Must pass a drug screening.
- Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Must be able to wear required safety equipment for personal protection.
- Must be able to work at heights, including on scaffolding, ladders, elevated platforms, and man-baskets.
- Must be able to work in confined spaces requiring crawling, stooping, and climbing.
- Must be able to work around operating equipment and in industrial environments.
- Must be able to work with radiation and hazardous materials, including cleaners, penetrants, and film-developing chemicals.
- Must be available to work shifts of up to 12 hours per day and 7 days per week.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 100 pounds.
- The position is limited to U.S. Persons because of access to information subject to U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). A U.S. Person includes U.S. citizens or nationals, lawful permanent residents, refugees, and persons granted asylum in the United States.
