Position Summary:
Eddyfi Technologies is seeking an Electronics After-Sales Technician to join its Paris Service Center as part of the ET/UT product line. The role is responsible for developing in-depth expertise in the technologies used in the company's non-destructive testing equipment while supporting calibration, repair, and preventive maintenance operations. The technician will collaborate with teams in France and Quebec to strengthen technical capabilities, support local operations, and ensure the timely completion of service activities. Occasional travel within France and Europe may be required.
Responsibilities:
- Develop in-depth knowledge of equipment utilizing ultrasonic and magnetic inspection technologies.
- Perform calibration and preventive maintenance of Eddyfi instruments to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose equipment failures, perform repairs, and complete final quality control inspections.
- Analyze electrical schematics, identify defective components, and propose technical solutions to service center technical specialists when appropriate.
- Manage multiple technical service files simultaneously with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Maintain accurate and reliable records within monitoring databases by documenting technical issues, solutions, and observations.
- Use and update Salesforce and JIRA databases to support service operations.
- Collaborate with technical experts in France and Quebec to enhance technical knowledge and operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- Diploma in Electronics or Instrumentation/Measurement.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electronics, including the design or maintenance of electronic equipment.
- Solid experience in electronics and technical troubleshooting.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong ability to work in a customer-focused environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate technical documentation.
- Ability to quickly learn and develop in-depth product knowledge.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Availability for occasional travel within France and Europe.
- Good written and/or spoken English proficiency is considered an asset.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience using Salesforce and JIRA databases.
- Experience with soldering and reworking BGA and PQFN components.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Electronics or Instrumentation/Measurement.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electronics design or maintenance.
- Strong technical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to travel occasionally within France and Europe.
- Ability to manage multiple technical assignments simultaneously.
- Strong documentation, communication, and organizational skills.
