Position Summary:
The ASNT Level III NDT Specialist is responsible for leading Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) operations with a strong focus on auditing, training, personnel certification, and technical leadership. The role ensures compliance with applicable industry codes, standards, and customer requirements while developing training programs, certifying Level I and Level II personnel, and providing technical expertise across multiple NDT methods.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct audits of NDT procedures and personnel to ensure compliance with applicable standards and customer requirements.
- Ensure adherence to ASNT, ISO, API, ASME, and customer specifications.
- Review NDT inspection reports for accuracy, compliance, and quality.
- Develop and deliver NDT training programs for technical personnel.
- Mentor and assess the competency of Level I and Level II NDT personnel.
- Certify Level I and Level II personnel in accordance with ASNT guidelines.
- Maintain personnel qualification and certification records.
- Serve as the technical authority for applicable NDT methods.
- Develop, review, and approve NDT procedures.
- Provide technical support for complex inspection activities.
- Prepare, review, and maintain NDT manuals, procedures, and reports for compliance and audit purposes.
Qualifications:
ASNT Level III certification in any five of the following methods:
- Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
- Radiographic Testing (RT)
- Magnetic Particle Testing (MT)
- Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT)
- Eddy Current Testing (ET)
- Visual Testing (VT)
- 8–12 years of experience in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), including auditing, training, and personnel certification.
- Strong knowledge of applicable industry codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- Minimum 8 years of work experience in auditing.
- Minimum 8 years of work experience as a Certified Quality Auditor (CQA).
