Position Summary:
TEAM, Inc. is seeking an Advanced Services Inspector to perform specialized non-destructive examinations using advanced inspection methods and techniques. The role is intended for experienced professionals with strong technical expertise across multiple inspection modalities. The Advanced Services Inspector is responsible for leading inspection scopes, analyzing complex inspection data, providing technical expertise, interacting with clients, and ensuring inspections are performed safely, accurately, and in accordance with applicable industry standards and company procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Perform advanced non-destructive examination (NDE) techniques in accordance with TEAM procedures, client specifications, and applicable industry codes, including ASME, API, and AWS.
- Operate and configure advanced inspection equipment and scanning systems.
- Collect, interpret, and analyze complex inspection data, and prepare detailed reports with findings and recommendations.
- Interface directly with clients and engineers to communicate inspection results and ensure project objectives are achieved.
- Maintain proficiency in data acquisition software and digital reporting platforms.
- Supervise and mentor junior technicians and assistants during advanced inspection activities.
- Contribute to project planning, scan plan development, inspection procedure development, and technique qualification reviews as required.
- Adhere to TEAM's Life Critical Expectations and all site-specific safety protocols.
- Maintain compliance with industry standards and uphold TEAM's commitment to professionalism, integrity, and quality.
Qualifications:
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
Experience:
- Experienced professional with a strong technical background in advanced non-destructive examination methods.
- Prior experience working in refineries, petrochemical plants, pipeline projects, or fabrication shops is preferred.
Certifications:
- Multiple Conventional NDT Level II/III certifications or ASNT, PCN, or CGSB equivalents.
- API 510, API 570, API 653.
- Certified Welding Inspector (CWI).
- AMPP certification.
- CR/DR, AUT, PA-UT, or UTSW certifications.
- Radiation Safety Training, IRRSP, or State Industrial Radiographer Card (where applicable).
- Current TWIC, OSHA 10/30, or other industry-standard safety certifications.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong technical knowledge of advanced NDE inspection methods and technologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate technical findings to clients, supervisors, and team members.
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and teamwork abilities.
- Proficiency with data acquisition software and digital reporting platforms.
- Strong work ethic with a safety-first mindset.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle driving record.
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screening and background check.
- Ability to obtain TWIC, DISA, and other required site access credentials.
- Ability to provide documentation supporting TEAM Level II qualifications and certifications in accordance with TEAM's written practice.
- Ability to travel and work extended hours, including weekends, as required.
- Ability to work in field environments, including confined spaces, elevated work areas, and extreme weather conditions.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to safely perform work requiring climbing, mobility, physical endurance, and the use of required personal protective equipment.
