Course Description:

The Eddy Current Testing Wrought Products Level 2 training at Lavender International is a comprehensive course that covers both general and specific theories of Eddy's current testing. During this training, you will learn about the basic principles of testing and the generation of eddy currents using an AC field. You will also gain an understanding of the effect of fields created by eddy currents and the effect of change of impedance on instrumentation. Terminology and units, principles of magnetization, electromagnetism theory, flux leakage theory and principle, readout mechanism, and types of eddy current and flux leakage sensing elements will also be covered in detail.

The course will also review the electromagnetic theory, factors that affect coil impedance, factors that affect flux leakage fields, signal-to-noise ratio, selection of test frequency, selection of the method of magnetization for flux leakage testing, coupling, field strength, and its selection, field orientation for flux leakage testing, and instrument design considerations.

Safety is an important aspect of eddy's current testing, and the training will cover the relevant electrical safety measures.

This course is suitable for those who are seeking PCN GEN BS EN ISO 9712 Levels 1, 2, and 3, ASNT Level 3 certification, or those working in an employer written practice based on SNT-TC-1A; EN4179 and NAS410. Upon completion of the training, you will have the necessary skills to apply the method to the specific requirements of the company, referring to the codes, specifications, and procedures used by the company, including the relevant control checks.
