SU Group has secured exclusive distribution rights in Hong Kong and Macau for HDX’s TRACELINE PX3 portable X-ray system, expanding its product portfolio into industrial inspection applications.
The agreement makes SU Group the sole authorized distributor of the TRACELINE PX3 in the two markets. The portable X-ray system is designed for applications including industrial non-destructive testing (NDT), explosive ordnance disposal, technical surveillance counter-measures and fire investigation.
The distribution agreement represents SU Group’s second international distribution partnership of 2026, following its June agreement with Germany-based GEZE.
Portable X-Ray System Supports Industrial NDT Applications
The TRACELINE PX3 combines digital radiography, a pulsed X-ray source and digital image processing in a portable inspection system. According to SU Group, the PX3-S field kit uses a low-dose pulsed X-ray source that generates microsecond bursts for image capture.
The company said the pulsed technology can reduce radiation exposure by more than 70% compared with continuous-source systems. The equipment also has an IP54 rating and is designed for use in demanding operating environments.
For industrial inspection, the system provides a portable radiographic testing solution for non-destructive examination. Its application range also extends to specialized security and investigative requirements.
Distribution Agreement Broadens SU Group’s Applications
The exclusive rights provide SU Group with an opportunity to serve industrial inspection requirements alongside its existing security-related engineering operations. Industrial NDT represents one of the key application areas for the portable X-ray system, while other use cases include explosive ordnance disposal, counter-surveillance and fire investigation.
The addition of the TRACELINE PX3 therefore expands the range of applications within SU Group’s distribution portfolio, bringing portable digital radiography technology into markets beyond its established security-related activities.
SU Group has not disclosed the financial terms, sales commitments, expected revenue contribution or duration of the exclusive distribution agreement.
