Intermoor, the Moorings and Anchors business line of Acteon, has secured its third contract with Petrobras in less than a year, reinforcing its role in supporting subsea asset integrity and maintenance for the Brazilian energy sector.
The three-year contract covers the provision of inspection, preservation, maintenance, and operational readiness services for subsea interconnection, mooring, and anchoring materials used by Petrobras.
As part of the agreement, Intermoor will deliver integrated services for a broad range of critical mooring components, including chains, steel wire ropes, anchors, connectors, load collars, anode collars, adapters, and other load-handling accessories.
The contract includes visual and dimensional inspections of mooring materials and accessories, alongside non-destructive testing (NDT) using magnetic particle testing (MT) and liquid penetrant testing (PT) to assess the condition of critical subsea components.
In addition to inspection services, Intermoor's scope of work includes cleaning and surface preparation, preservation through surface treatment and painting, maintenance, repair, replacement, and reconditioning of anchoring components. The company will also provide handling, transportation where required, storage, and preservation of materials to support Petrobras' operational readiness.
The project will further involve the allocation of 20,000 square metres of dedicated space at Intermoor's Açu Port yard for the temporary storage of Petrobras materials undergoing maintenance.
The latest award strengthens the ongoing collaboration between Intermoor and Petrobras while expanding the company's contribution to subsea inspection, non-destructive testing, and maintenance activities that support the integrity and reliability of offshore mooring and anchoring systems.
