The Connecticut Centre for Advanced Technology, Inc. (CCAT) is teaming up with Evident, a leader in microscopy solutions. This partnership aims to boost innovation in the manufacturing sector, aligning with CCAT's goals. At the core of this partnership is the DSX1000 digital microscope from Evident. It's now at CCAT's 25,000-square-foot Advanced Technology Centre. This microscope, with its advanced imaging and easy-to-use software, improves material analysis and quality control for manufacturers.

Doug Kennedy, Evident’s Senior Manager of Material Science Microscopy, Americas, expressed excitement about the partnership. He said, "By providing CCAT with advanced microscopy solutions, we enable CCAT to innovate and excel. Together, we drive progress and offer unparalleled solutions to our customers. This collaboration reflects our commitment to advancing scientific discovery and revolutionising research and manufacturing." Crandall from CCAT shared his thoughts, saying, "The microscope’s capabilities and software have been easy to learn, allowing our team to enhance our imaging and analysis quickly. The support and training from Evident have been exceptional. It’s a significant upgrade from our previous capabilities."

This partnership marks a significant step in digital transformation and technological excellence in manufacturing. Both CCAT and Evident will continue to innovate, helping manufacturers succeed in a competitive market.

In 2022, Olympus Corporation spun off its Scientific Solutions Division to create Evident. Despite the name change, Evident's expertise and commitment remain the same. They support customers in various fields, from medical research to infrastructure inspection. Their industrial solutions include microscopes, video scopes, and X-ray analyzers. In life science, they offer advanced microscopes for clinical and research applications, supporting scientists and researchers. Founded in 2004, CCAT is a non-profit based in East Hartford, Connecticut. It leads partnerships that help global industrial companies and the manufacturing supply chain adopt advanced technologies. CCAT focuses on driving advancements and efficiencies in various industry sectors.
