Position Summary:
Testia SAS is seeking an NDT Level 2 Ultrasonic Technician (UT2) to support the expansion of its non-destructive testing activities within the aerospace manufacturing sector. Based at the Dugny office, the technician will work primarily at the Airbus Helicopters site, performing ultrasonic inspections on composite components used in the latest generation of helicopters. The role involves ensuring inspection quality, validating technical documentation, supporting certification activities, and contributing to the development of team expertise while maintaining the highest standards of flight safety.
Responsibilities:
- Perform ultrasonic inspections in accordance with customer specifications.
- Validate technical reports and inspection qualification documents.
- Participate in customer and certification audits and support the maintenance of approvals and certifications.
- Ensure the satisfaction of internal and external customers.
- Verify the quality of flight-worthy components to support flight safety.
- Participate in the training of new inspectors on ultrasonic inspection methods.
- Support the maintenance and development of team competencies.
- Collaborate with NDT technicians and technical experts on Airbus Helicopters production lines.
Qualifications:
Education & Certification:
- EN4179 (FrANDTB-COSAC) Level 2 Ultrasonic Testing (UT) certification for the aerospace sector.
Experience & Knowledge:
- Experience and training in Non-Destructive Testing are welcomed.
- Knowledge of one or more of the following areas is considered an advantage:
- Composite materials.
- Aircraft or helicopter structures.
- Quality control.
- Dimensional inspection.
Skills & Competencies:
- Good computer proficiency.
- Intermediate written English to work with customer specifications.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good technical writing abilities.
- Dynamic, enthusiastic, autonomous, rigorous, proactive, and versatile approach to work.
Requirements:
- Valid EN4179 (FrANDTB-COSAC) Level 2 Ultrasonic Testing certification in the aerospace sector.
- Ability to work day shifts or a two-shift (2x8) schedule.
- Availability for occasional travel within France and internationally.
- Ability to work at the Airbus Helicopters production site in Dugny.
