Position Summary:
TEAM, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Assistant Technician - NDE - A0 in Pittsburgh, PA. The role provides direct support to certified NDT technicians performing nondestructive testing services across client facilities in the oil and gas, nuclear, power, aerospace, and municipal sectors.
Responsibilities:
- Assist certified NDT technicians in setting up and executing testing methods (UT, MT, PT, RT).
- Prepare, clean, organize, and transport tools, materials, and inspection equipment safely to and from job sites.
- Support radiation safety practices and secure work areas for radiographic testing operations.
- Complete field documentation, timesheets, and reports as instructed by leads.
- Perform general support labor including rigging, lifting, and setting up access equipment.
- Follow all site-specific safety regulations, client protocols, and TEAM's Life Critical Expectations.
Qualifications Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle record.
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screenings and background checks.
- Ability to obtain TWIC, DISA, and other required site access credentials.
- Willingness to travel and operate in industrial field environments (confined spaces, elevated platforms, and variable weather).
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, maneuver via ladders/stairs, and work extended hours or alternative schedules.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous exposure to NDT, construction, or industrial shop/refinery environments.
- Familiarity with basic NDT terminology and procedures.
- Current safety credentials such as TWIC or OSHA 10/30.
- Mechanical aptitude and hands-on tool experience.
