Position Summary:-
Applus+ UK is seeking a Trainee NDT Technician based in Clevedon, England, with regular deployment to Hinkley Point C (HPC) and other UK sites. The position develops technical competency across non-destructive testing methods while supporting safe inspection operations, power services electrical testing delivery, and local HSEQ compliance.
Responsibilities:-
- Assist qualified personnel in carrying out NDT activities (LPI, MPI, UT, VI) in compliance with codes and procedures.
- Develop practical skills across NDT methods working toward recognized formal certification.
- Prepare, maintain, and log calibration records and inspection tools via internal tracking systems.
- Support international Power Services teams with T&D electrical testing (LV, MV, HV) on UK contracts.
- Assist the Operations Manager with site audits, safety compliance, Skill Station competency tracking, and legal documentation at the Clevedon base.
- Maintain clean, organized, and secure working spaces across all deployed job sites.
Qualifications Requirements:-
- Valid CCNSG Site Safety Passport.
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent).
- High commitment to health, safety, and quality standards.
- Willingness to travel across the UK, including nuclear licensed facilities, and work away from base.
Preferred Qualifications:-
- Prior experience in an engineering, inspection, or technical setting.
- Familiarity with NDT techniques (LPI, MPI, UT, RT) or electrical systems (LV, MV, HV).
- Experience operating within nuclear or regulated industrial environments.
