Visual Testing (VT), Level - II

Course Objective:

This comprehensive course aims to provide participants with classroom training and examination, leading to a Level II qualification in Visual Testing (VT) that complies with the requirements of ASNT SNT-TC-1A based employer's written practice. A valid Level II certificate holder will be formally eligible to conduct visual examinations on relevant test jobs, following applicable NDT written procedures and generating accurate test reports.

• Advantages, Limitations, and Applications of Visual Testing (VT)
• Elements of Vision and Elements of Lighting
• Contrast and Resolution, Basics of Optics
• VT Equipment and Tools
• Visual Appearance and Identification of Discontinuities
• Evaluation and Reporting of Inspection Results
• Understanding Codes, Standards, Specifications, and Operating Procedures

Course Duration:

Training: 3 days (24 hours - Direct Level II)

Exam: 1 day (5 hours)

Who Should Attend:

This course is ideal for technicians, inspectors, supervisors, and personnel working in industries such as oil refineries, petrochemical plants, ship construction, and other fields where Visual Testing is essential.

Pre-requirements:

Valid vision certificate

Minimum experience of 210 hours in VT and a total of 400 hours in NDT

Certification:

Upon successful completion, participants will receive an ASNT Training certificate and a Level II certificate, which will be valid for 5 years.

Course Notes and Equipment:

To facilitate effective learning, we provide course notes, magnifiers, calipers, gauges, blocks, and training specimens for hands-on practical exercises.

Class Capacity:
