Course Description: 

Ultrasonic Testing for Plate, Pipe, Nozzle, and Node Level 2 Certification

This course is designed to certify individuals as Ultrasonic Level 2 personnel who are competent in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) according to Ultrasonic Testing procedures. The certification covers the testing of plates, pipes, nozzles, and nodes.

The course covers the following competencies within the scope of the certificate:

• Selecting the appropriate Ultrasonic technique for the test method to be used
• Defining the limitations of the application of the testing method
• Translating NDT codes, standards, specifications and procedures into NDT instructions adapted to the actual working conditions
• Setting up and verifying equipment settings
• Performing and supervising tests
• Interpreting and evaluating results according to applicable standards, codes, specifications, or procedures
• Preparing written Ultrasonic instructions
• Carrying out and supervising all tasks at or below level 2
• Providing guidance for personnel at or below level 2
• Reporting the results of Ultrasonic tests

Upon completion of this course, individuals will have the knowledge and skills required to become certified as Ultrasonic Level 2 personnel, as well as the ability to apply this knowledge to perform NDT on plates, pipes, nozzles, and nodes
