This comprehensive training course is designed to meet the PCN requirements for Ultrasonic Phased Array Practitioner Level 3 in the inspection of general engineering materials, components, and fabrications across multiple sectors. Alternatively, Level 3 candidates have the option to apply for single-sector certification focused on one of the following groups: Welds, Castings, or Wrought Products.

Special Note:

Candidates applying for the PCN Phased Array (PAUT) Level 3 training course must currently hold a valid Level 3 certification in Ultrasonic Testing.

The Ultrasonic Phased Array (PAUT) Level 3 course provides detailed guidance on meeting the PCN requirements for Practitioner Level 3 certification in Ultrasonic Phased Array Testing across multiple sectors or within a specific sector, such as Welds, Castings, or Wrought Products.

The main objective of this course is to familiarize candidates with the scope of the examination and the level of knowledge required, allowing them to identify and address any areas of weakness. Advice and guidance will be provided on additional training needs, ensuring candidates are fully prepared for the examination.

Candidates must hold both a PCN Level 2 certification in Phased Array and a PCN Level 3 approval in Ultrasonic Testing. Additionally, candidates must satisfy the experience requirements outlined in PCN/GEN for Ultrasonic Testing, which includes a minimum of 6 months of verifiable experience using UT phased array systems before attempting this course.
