Radiographic Interpreter (RI), Level - II

Course Objective:

This comprehensive course aims to provide participants with classroom training and examination, leading to a Level II qualification in Radiographic Interpretation (RI) that complies with the requirements of ASNT SNT-TC-1A based employer's written practice or the requirements of ISO 9712, as opted by the candidate. A valid Level II certificate holder will be formally eligible to interpret radiographs of relevant test jobs, follow applicable NDT written procedures, and generate accurate test reports.

• Introduction, Basic Principles of Radiographic Testing (RT), Advantages, Limitations, and Applications
• Radiographs, Characteristics, and Calculations
• Radiographic Image Quality
• Exposure Techniques and Application Techniques
• Interpretation to Identify Relevant Indications and Sizing
• Manufacturing Processes and Associated Discontinuities
• Evaluation Against Acceptance Criteria and Reporting
• Understanding Codes, Standards, Specifications, and Operating Procedures

Course Duration:

• ASNT: Training: 5 days (40 hours - Direct Limited Level II)
• ASNT: Exam: 1 day (6 hours)
• PCN: Training: 7 days (56 hours)
• PCN: Exam: 1 day (3 hours - Dense metal welds)

Who Should Attend:

This course is ideal for technicians, inspectors, supervisors, and personnel working in industries such as oil refineries, petrochemical plants, ship construction, and other fields where Radiographic Interpretation (RI) is essential.

Pre-requirements:

• ASNT: Participants must hold a valid vision certificate and have a minimum of 220 hours of experience in RI.
• PCN: Participants must hold a valid vision certificate and have a minimum of 6 months of experience in RI.

Certification:

Upon successful completion, participants will receive an ASNT Training certificate and a Limited Level II certificate with a 5-year validity for ASNT qualification. For PCN qualification, participants will receive a Training certificate and a Level II certificate issued by BINDT with a 5-year validity.

Course Notes and Equipment:

To facilitate effective learning, we provide course notes, radiographs, densitometers, and film viewers for hands-on practical exercises.

Class Capacity:
