Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Level - II

Course Objective:

This comprehensive course aims to provide participants with classroom training and examination, leading to a Level II qualification in Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) that complies with the requirements of ASNT SNT-TC-1A based employer's written practice or the requirements of ISO 9712, based on the candidate's preference. A valid Level II certificate holder will be formally eligible to conduct magnetic particle examinations on relevant test jobs, follow applicable NDT written procedures, and generate accurate test reports.

• Demagnetization Principles and Procedures
• Interpretation to Identify Relevant Indications and Sizing of Indications
• Manufacturing Processes and Associated Discontinuities
• Evaluation Against Acceptance Criteria and Reporting
• Understanding Codes, Standards, Specifications, and Operating Procedures

Course Duration:

ASNT: 4 days Training (40 hours - Direct Level II), 1-day Exam (6 hours)

PCN: 4 days Training (40 hours - Direct Level II), 1-day Exam (8 hours)

Who Should Attend:

This course is ideal for technicians, inspectors, supervisors, and personnel working in industries such as oil refineries, petrochemical plants, ship construction, and other fields where Magnetic Particle Testing is essential.

Pre-requirements:

ASNT: Valid vision certificate, Minimum experience of 280 hours in MT, and a total of 530 hours in NDT

PCN: Valid vision certificate, Minimum 4 months of experience in MT

Certification:

Upon successful completion, participants will receive the following certificates:

ASNT: Training certificate; Limited Level II certificate (valid for 5 years)

PCN: Training certificate; Level II certificate issued by BINDT (valid for 5 years)

To facilitate effective learning, we provide course notes, instruments, magnetic particles, gauges, blocks, and training specimens for hands-on practical exercises.

Class Capacity:
