Our Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) Level I Certification Course offers comprehensive classroom training, examination, and certification to equip participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform magnetic particle examinations in accordance with the requirements of ASNT SNT-TC-1A or ISO 9712, based on the candidate's preference. Successful candidates will be awarded an MT Level I qualification, enabling them to conduct magnetic particle examinations on relevant test jobs under the supervision of an NDT Level II or NDT Level III individual.

Course Objectives:

The main objectives of this course are:

• Provide in-depth classroom training on the basic principles, advantages, limitations, and applications of Magnetic Particle Testing (MT).
• Teach participants about magnetic fields' characteristics and the selection of appropriate magnetization methods and equipment.
• Familiarize participants with different particle types and the principles of demagnetization.
• Enable participants to identify and interpret relevant indications of various discontinuities detected by MT.

Course Content:

The MT Level I Certification Course covers the following essential topics:

• Basic Principles of MT: Understanding the fundamental principles, advantages, limitations, and real-world applications of Magnetic Particle Testing.
• Characteristics of Magnetic Fields: Exploring the properties of magnetic fields and their relevance in MT inspections.
• Selection of Magnetization Methods: Learning how to choose the most suitable magnetization methods for specific testing scenarios.
• Equipment and Particle Types: Getting hands-on experience with various MT equipment types and particle options.
• Demagnetization Principles: Understanding the principles and techniques of demagnetization to ensure accurate inspection results.
• Type of Discontinuities Detected by MT: Identifying different types of discontinuities that can be detected using magnetic particle testing.
• Interpretation of Indications: Gaining skills in interpreting and analyzing MT indications to identify relevant defects.

Course Duration:

Participants can choose between two certification options:

ASNT Option:

• Training: 2 days (12 hours)
• Examination: 1 day (6 hours)

PCN Option:

• Training: 2 days (16 hours)
• Examination: 1 day (6 hours)

Who Should Attend:

• This course is designed for personnel such as Technicians, Inspectors, and others working in industries such as oil refineries, petrochemical plants, ship construction, and similar fields where Magnetic Particle Testing is crucial for quality assurance and inspection.

Pre-requirements:

ASNT Option:

• Valid vision certificate
• Minimum experience of 70 hours in Magnetic Particle Testing and a total of 130 hours in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT)

PCN Option:

• Valid vision certificate
• Minimum 1 month of experience in Magnetic Particle Testing

Certification:

Upon successful completion of the course and examination, participants will receive the following certifications:

ASNT Option:

• ASNT Training Certificate
• Limited Level I Certificate (Valid for 5 years)

PCN Option:

• Training Certificate issued by BINDT
• Level I Certificate (Valid for 5 years)

Course Notes and Equipment:

• Participants will be provided with comprehensive course notes, instruments, detection particles, gauges, blocks, and training specimens to enhance their learning and practical experience.

Class Capacity:
