Our Level 3 Preparation Training is specifically designed for individuals who wish to take Corporate Employer Based examinations or PCN Examinations at Level 3 in the aerospace industry. This course equips participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to excel in their chosen NDT methods and guides procedure writing and key processes.

Course Content:

Basic:

• Familiarization with the documents SNT-TC-1A, ANSI/ASNT CP189, and the Code of Ethics
• Overview of materials and processes relevant to NDT in the aerospace industry
• Introduction to all seven common NDT methods by EN4179

Penetrant:

• Comprehensive training on penetrant testing techniques and principles
• Hands-on sessions for practical application and skill development

Magnetic Particle:

• In-depth understanding of magnetic particle testing principles and applications
• Practical exercises for flaw detection and interpretation

Eddy Current:

• Advanced training on eddy current testing techniques in aerospace applications
• Skill development through practical demonstrations and hands-on sessions

Ultrasonic:

• Extensive coverage of ultrasonic testing principles and methodologies
• Hands-on training for flaw detection, sizing, and characterization

Radiography:

• Comprehensive training on radiographic testing techniques and safety procedures
• Interpretation of radiographic images for flaw detection and evaluation

Thermography:

• Introduction to thermographic testing principles and applications in aerospace
• Hands-on sessions for thermal imaging and data interpretation

PCN Level 3 Basic and Part A, B & C:

• Familiarization with the document PCN Aero A0
• Overview of general materials and processes in the aerospace industry
• Introduction to NDT methods covered in PCN Basic Part C

Procedure Writing and Key Processes:

• Best practices for writing comprehensive inspection procedures
• Guidance on key processes relevant to Level 3 NDT personnel

During the training session, participants are grouped by NDT method and work at their own pace. They will have the opportunity to practice examinations under the constant supervision of a Level 3 instructor. The instructor will address student problems as they arise, ensuring comprehensive understanding and proficiency. It is expected that participants have completed prior studies and treat this Level 3 training as final exam preparation and procedure writing guidance.
