The 40-hour Eddy Current Level 1 training at Lavender International is a comprehensive course that covers all aspects of Eddy's current testing. The course covers both the general theory and specific theory of eddy current testing. In the general theory section, you will learn about the history of testing, the basic principles of testing, the generation of eddy currents, and the effect of change of impedance on instrumentation. You will also learn about terminology and units, principles of magnetization, electromagnetism theory, flux leakage theory, and principle, readout mechanism, types of eddy current sensing elements, types of flux leakage sensing elements, safety as applicable to eddy current testing, and electrical safety.
In the specific theory section, you will learn about the application of the method and use of codes, specifications, and procedures applicable to the company, including the relevant control checks. This section will help you to understand how to apply the knowledge you have gained in the general theory section to specific testing scenarios.
This course is suitable for those who wish to gain certification in eddy current testing. We offer training suitable for PCN/EN473/ISO 9712 Levels 1, 2, and 3, and ASNT Level 3. Additionally, we offer training suitable for candidates working in an employer written practice based on SNT-TC-1A; EN4179, and NAS410. Eddy's current testing is separated into three specific product sectors for certification purposes: Welds, Wrought Products (Forgings), and Tubes.
At Lavender International, we use the most recent resources, including Study Guides, Handbooks, and Questions and Answers from ASNT and BINDT, to ensure that our training meets the needs of the industry.
