Course Objective:

This comprehensive course aims to provide participants with classroom training, examination, and certification for Computed Radiography (CR) Level I qualification, in accordance with the requirements of ASNT SNT-TC-1A based employer's written practice. Upon successful completion, participants will be awarded a Level I certificate, formally qualifying them to conduct computed radiography examinations on relevant test jobs, following applicable NDT written instructions under the supervision of an NDT Level II or NDT Level III professional.

  • Basic CR Technique, Advantages, Limitations, and Applications
  • Fundamental Properties of Matter and Radioactive Materials
  • Types of Radiation and Exposure Calculations
  • Interaction of Radiation with Matter
  • Exposure Devices and Radiation Sources
  • Imaging System Components
  • Digital Image Processing in CR

Course Duration:

Training: 4 days (40 hours)

Exam: 1 day (8 hours)

Who Should Attend:

This course is designed for technicians, inspectors, and personnel working in industries such as oil refineries, petrochemical plants, ship construction, and other fields where Non-Destructive Testing is vital.

Pre-requirements:

Valid vision certificate

Minimum experience of 210 hours in CR and a total of 400 hours in NDT

Certification:

Upon successful completion, participants will receive an ASNT Training certificate and a Level I certificate, which will be valid for 5 years.

Course Notes and Equipment:

To facilitate effective learning, we provide course notes, CR systems, imaging plates, image scanners, and high-definition monitors for practical exercises.

Class Capacity:

To ensure an interactive and focused learning environment, each batch will have a maximum of 10 participants.
