Course Description:

Lavender International's ACFM Level 1 training course provides a comprehensive understanding of the electromagnetic testing method. The course covers both general and specific theories, equipment selection and preparation, and post-test procedures. Students will also learn about codes, standards, and specifications, as well as how to brief remote probe operators.

Specifically, the course covers the following topics:

General Theory:

• History of Electromagnetic Testing
• Terms and definitions used in Electromagnetic Testing
• General principles of the ACFM technique

Specific Theory:

• Introduction to the range of available ACFM techniques
• Equipment selection and preparation
• The effect of the ACFM test on the material being tested
• Preparation for testing
• Carrying out the test
• Post-test procedures and reporting
• Current and developing codes, standards, and specifications

We offer ACFM training suitable for PCN/EN473/ISO 9712 Levels 1 and 2, as well as training suitable for candidates working to an employer-written practice based on SNT-TC-1A, EN4179, and NAS410.
