AI-enabled non-destructive testing (NDT) robotics startup Octobotics has raised approximately ₹10 crore in a seed funding round led by Navam Capital, with participation from BYT Capital.

The funding will be used to accelerate product development, strengthen field validation, and support the company’s international expansion plans. A portion of the capital will also be allocated towards certification processes and scaling operations across India, Singapore, and the Middle East.

Founded in 2020 by Ishan Bhatnagar and Gulshan Kumar, Octobotics develops AI-enabled robotic platforms for non-destructive testing and inspection in asset-intensive sectors such as oil and gas, chemicals, power, marine, and railways. The company focuses on inspection use cases in hazardous, confined, and hard-to-access environments, where conventional manual inspection poses safety and operational challenges.

Octobotics’ client base includes organisations such as the Indian Navy, Indian Oil Corporation, BPCL, HPCL, Aarti Industries, GSFC, and Saudi S-Chem. The startup reported ₹2 crore in revenue in the last financial year.

The company’s product portfolio includes rail inspection systems, automated weld inspection platforms, and specialised NDT tools designed for elevated and confined inspection zones. These solutions automate manual inspection tasks and transform inspection data into actionable insights, helping asset owners improve safety, reliability, and operational efficiency.

With fresh capital and growing traction across industrial and defence sectors, Octobotics is positioned to scale its technology offerings and expand its footprint in global markets where demand for advanced robotic inspection solutions continues to rise.
