Position Summary:
Octobotics is seeking an experienced UTM Survey Supervisor to support marine inspection and offshore operations. The role is responsible for supervising Ultrasonic Thickness Measurement (UTM) surveys, ensuring accurate inspection results, maintaining compliance with class requirements, and supporting structural integrity assessments for marine assets. The successful candidate will contribute to next-generation inspection methods utilizing robotics and advanced technologies across tankers, bulk carriers, and offshore assets.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise onboard Ultrasonic Thickness Measurement (UTM) inspections.
- Ensure accurate, reliable, and compliant inspection results.
- Prepare and review detailed UTM inspection reports.
- Ensure compliance with IACS and classification society requirements.
- Support structural integrity assessments for vessels and offshore assets.
- Assist in vessel maintenance and steel renewal planning through inspection findings.
- Work on tankers, bulk carriers, and offshore assets.
- Contribute to the implementation of advanced inspection methods powered by robotics and emerging technologies.
- Support safe, efficient, and innovative marine inspection operations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Ultrasonic Thickness Measurement (UTM), ship surveys, and marine inspection operations.
- Strong hands-on expertise in UTM inspections.
- Experience with ship surveys and marine inspection workflows.
- Strong understanding of class regulations and compliance requirements.
- Ability to work effectively in dynamic field environments.
Requirements:
- Experience in UTM ship surveys.
