Position Summary:-
Testia, a subsidiary of the Airbus Group, is seeking an Expert in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Level 3 in Radiography (RT3) to support the expansion of its NDT activities, particularly within the aerospace manufacturing sector.
The position is based in Toulouse or at one of Testia’s agencies in Dugny, Bouguenais, Vitrolles, or Bordeaux. The successful candidate will support Testia’s activities across France, working at company facilities and/or client sites to provide technical support to teams and customers.
The role involves supporting technical training, developing and validating NDT procedures and instructions, supporting NADCAP accreditation activities, evaluating equipment, conducting audits, reviewing personnel competencies, and assisting customers with technical issues and documentation.
Responsibilities:-
- Support the technical training of Testia inspectors at Testia facilities and client sites.
- Develop and validate inspection procedures and instructions in accordance with aerospace and space industry standards.
- Provide support and follow-up for NADCAP accreditation of the Testia workshop.
- Participate in the implementation of new inspection facilities and new products.
- Evaluate and/or qualify new equipment.
- Prepare and conduct internal or external audits of NDT activities for production lines or maintenance operations.
- Conduct competency reviews of certified Level I and Level II personnel.
- Propose improvements within Testia workshops and at client sites.
- Provide technical support to Testia clients regarding their technical issues and documentation.
- Work directly with the responsible Testia Level 3 personnel and operational managers.
- Support the development of team competencies through technical expertise and knowledge transfer.
Qualifications:-
- Minimum NDT Level 3 certification in Radiography (RT) according to EN4179 (FrANDTB-COSAC) for the aerospace sector.
- An additional Level 2 or Level 3 NDT certification is considered an advantage.
- Knowledge of composites, aircraft/helicopter structures, quality control, or dimensional inspection is considered an advantage.
- Good command of computer tools.
- Intermediate written English sufficient to work with client specifications.
- Demonstrated dynamism, enthusiasm, autonomy, rigor, versatility, proactivity, strong interpersonal skills, and good writing abilities.
Requirements:-
- Ability to work in Toulouse, Dugny, Bouguenais, Vitrolles, or Bordeaux.
- Willingness to travel frequently within France and internationally.
- Availability to work during daytime hours.
- Ability to support Testia’s NDT activities at company facilities and client sites.
- Ability to support technical training, audits, equipment qualification, and competency reviews.
- Ability to work with aerospace and space industry standards and client technical specifications.
