NDT - Level I Trainee/Assistant

Position Summary:

PROtect, LLC is seeking an NDT - Level I Trainee/Assistant in Orlando, FL. The role serves as an entry point into a non-destructive testing career. The position assists certified NDT Technicians in inspecting critical infrastructure (pipelines, pressure vessels, structural steel) using techniques such as radiography, ultrasonic, liquid penetrant, magnetic particle, leak, and visual testing.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in setting up, calibrating, operating, and tearing down NDT equipment in accordance with codes and specifications.
• Support technicians during inspections by taking readings, holding sensors, applying test materials, and identifying material defects.
• Drive company vehicles safely and maintain an acceptable driving record.
• Perform physical duties in outdoor or industrial environments, including early mornings, overnight shifts, extended travel, and call-outs.
• Strictly adhere to radiation, height, and confined space safety procedures.
• Complete required post-inspection documentation and site cleanup.

Qualifications Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and insurability through PROtect, LLC.
• Basic mechanical knowledge and strong safety commitment.
• Ability to work a demanding, flexible schedule (up to 16-hour days, travel, call-outs).
• Physical capacity to lift/carry up to 75 lbs individually and up to 150 lbs with assistance.
• Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in extreme weather conditions.
• Weight compliance for safety harness usage.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous work-related NDT skill, knowledge, or experience.
• State Card/Trainer certification.
• Valid TWIC card.
