NDT Technician

Position Summary:-

X-Ray Industries, an Applus+ Laboratories company, is seeking an entry-level NDT Technician Trainee for a 2nd shift role in Zeeland, MI. Working within an indoor aerospace testing facility, the candidate will work alongside certified technicians to learn non-destructive testing methodologies, execute basic setups, manage documentation, and build qualifications toward multi-method NDT certification.

Responsibilities:-

• Assist certified NDT technicians with daily project execution, equipment setup, and component inspection workflows.
• Learn and apply company, industry, and aerospace customer specifications for product compliance.
• Prepare and maintain required test documentation, client paperwork, and technical records accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas, manage inventory, and replenish inspection supplies as needed.
• Set up work area perimeters and safety boundaries to restrict unauthorized access during testing operations.
• Follow and enforce all standard operating procedures, safety rules, and proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines.

Qualifications Requirements:-

• High School Diploma or GED (physical documentation required at hire).
• Valid State ID.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States (visa sponsorship not available).
• Strong communication skills, professional demeanor, and hands-on mechanical interest.
• Ability to work 2nd shift.
