Position Summary:

Oceaneering is seeking an NDT Technician to perform non-destructive testing (NDT) on components, pipework, and structural assemblies. The technician will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of assets through various NDT methods while complying with industry standards and safety requirements. The role involves interpreting inspection results, maintaining equipment, preparing technical reports, and collaborating with engineering teams to support safe and reliable operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform non-destructive testing using Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Radiographic Testing (RT), Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI), and Liquid Penetrant Inspection (DPI).
  • Interpret and analyze inspection results and prepare detailed reports with recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation.
  • Collaborate with engineers and technicians to review findings and implement corrective actions where necessary.
  • Calibrate and maintain NDT equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Stay current with the latest NDT technologies and industry developments.
  • Provide training and guidance to less experienced technicians when required.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by following health and safety procedures.
  • Perform additional duties assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in NDT inspection, preferably within a similar industry.
  • Level II certification in multiple NDT methods in accordance with ISO 9712 or equivalent, including:
  • Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
  • Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI)
  • Dye Penetrant Inspection (DPI)
  • Strong knowledge of NDT principles, inspection techniques, and equipment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in software used for data analysis and reporting.
  • Valid driving license.
  • Relevant industry certifications or additional qualifications are considered an advantage.
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development.
  • Flexibility to travel as required.
