Multi-Certed NDE Level II Technician

Position Summary:

Intertek is seeking a Multi-Certed NDE Level II Technician to join its Industry Services team based in Houston/Clear Lake, Texas. The technician will perform assigned non-destructive examination (NDE) and inspection activities to verify that materials, components, and systems comply with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements. The role requires expertise in multiple NDT methods, technical proficiency, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to support training and client service activities.

Responsibilities:

• Perform Radiographic Testing Film Interpretation (RTFI), including evaluation of radiographic methods and radiographic film in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and acceptance criteria.
• Conduct ASNT Level II testing and inspections using UT-Thickness, Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), and/or Penetrant Testing (PT).
• Set up and calibrate inspection equipment.
• Interpret and evaluate inspection results in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the scope and limitations of certified NDT methods.
• Provide on-the-job training and guidance to assigned trainees and NDT Level I personnel.
• Organize, document, and report inspection results for assigned NDT activities.
• Maintain a client-focused approach in all interactions with customers, vendors, employees, and external stakeholders.
• Participate in continuing technical education courses and seminars to enhance professional knowledge.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

• ASNT Level II certification in Radiographic Testing (Code Quality).
• ASNT Level II certification in UT-Thickness, MT, and/or PT.
• Minimum of 3 years of field experience.
• Valid State Radiographer Card.
• Valid driver's license with a reliable driving record.
• TWIC Card.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to pass a physical examination.
• Strong commitment to maintaining a safety-first mindset.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Computed Radiography (CR).
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to organize inspection results and transmit data for office processing.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in the field.
• Rope Access certification.

Requirements:

• Ability to perform inspection activities in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
• Ability to organize and accurately report inspection findings.
• Ability to provide technical guidance and support to trainees and Level I personnel.
• Willingness to pursue ongoing technical education and professional development.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test where required based on the nature of the work.
