About Ninel Alver
Dr. Ninel Alver is a Professor of Civil Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, Ege University in Turkey, where she has been a faculty member since 2009. She received her Ph.D. from Kumamoto University in Japan in 2005, supported by the prestigious Monbukagakusho scholarship. Following her doctoral studies, Dr. Alver continued her academic journey as a Guest Scientist at Kumamoto University (2005–2007), and later at the Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing (BAM) in Germany (2007–2008), with support from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation.
Dr. Alver’s research is centered on non-destructive testing (NDT) of infrastructure materials and structures. She specializes in the application of multi-scale NDT methods, structural health monitoring, and advanced numerical simulation and modeling techniques. Her work has led to the successful completion of several nationally and internationally funded research projects. A prolific researcher, Dr. Alver has published extensively in high-impact technical journals and has presented her findings at numerous scientific conferences. Her contributions have advanced the understanding and practical application of NDT technologies in civil engineering.
