About Muriel Magloire

Muriel Magloire graduated from Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC) with an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Nondestructive Examination (NDE) Technology alongside her son, Aumani, in 2020. While in school, she served as Chair of the North Carolina Student Section of the American Society of Nondestructive Testing (ASNT). She is currently the Treasurer of the ASNT Charlotte Section. Muriel began her NDT career with the Department of Defense (DOD) working with the Navy in Bremerton, WA. Today, she is a QA NDE Technician with Flowserve Corporation. Her love for air travel fuels her aspiration to gain experience with NDE in aerospace one day.

As a member of ASNT’s Faces of NDT, an advocacy and outreach program, she has attended events like the American School Counselors Association Conference and the Girl Scout Conference to help spread the word about NDT. Over this past year, Muriel has written blogs for the ASNT Pulse publication, and she has written articles for features in several magazines to include Quality Magazine, Materials Evaluation (2024 Women in NDT edition) and most recently STEM Workforce Diversity Magazine for her contributions to safety in the nuclear industry. This past Fall, Muriel has returned to CPCC to serve as a Mentor in the Ruth G. Shaw Leadership Program for scholars. In October 2024, Muriel became a graduate of the ASNT RISE Leadership Development Program that concluded at the annual ASNT Conference in Las Vegas.
