Educational Qualifications: -B.Tech (IIT Kanpur), M.Tech (IIT Kanpur), MBA (Operation Mgt) NDT Level/ Certification: • ASNT Level-3 in Four non-destructive testing techniques, namely Ultrasonic Testing, Magnetic Testing. Eddy Current Testing and Penetrant Testing • CSWIP Level-2 in PAUT and ASNT Level-2 in Visual Testing and Radiography Testing -Film Interpretation.

Role/Responsibilities and relevant Experience: - Presently working as Chief General Manager in NTPC-NETRA, which is the R&D wing of NTPC and is heading the area of Scientific Services offered by NETRA in the field of NDT, Metallurgy & Failure Analysis, Corrosion, Creep & Fatigue, Water Chemistry, Resin, Coal Combustion, Ash Management, Lub & Transformer Oil Analysis etc. - 32 years of experience in the power sector, with last 29 years in the field of Inspection (NDT), RLA & Health Assessment and failure analysis of Power Plant Components -Involved in more than 400 health & life assessment studies of power plant components.

Played significant role in introducing many advanced NDT methods in NTPC like, In-situ Hydrogen damage detection in boiler waterwall tubes, Frequency scanning eddy current testing for in-situ assessment of coating on gas turbine blades, Application of MCF for assessment of properness of PWHT of T91 welds, Application of MCF for detection and quantification of exfoliation build-up on austenitic stainless steel boiler tube bends, Electromagnetic techniques for assessment of material degradation and detection of internal pits in austenitic stainless steel tubes, In-situ inspection of root region of turbine blades by Ultrasonic phased array, Weld inspection of boiler tubes through Phased Array, Non-destructive estimation of mechanical properties of pipelines & headers.

Has been actively involved in R&D projects for development of Advanced Ultra Supercritical Technology in India and also for projects related to water & ash management Awards & Recognitions/ Papers & patents: • Life Member of ISNT and member of ASNT and members of NCB & PFMB of ISNT • Was awarded National NDT Award in 2011 by Indian Society for Non-destructive Testing for outstanding contribution to industrial application of NDT.

Is associated with publishing of 2 nos. of books through Springer, filing of 5 numbers of patents and 6 numbers of copyrights. More than 50 scientific papers, including international journals, R&D journals and conferences
