NECESSARY DATA WITH THE HELP OF TECHNOLOGY
The world of technology is changing to incorporate new techniques to provide the necessary data on the working positions of plant and equipment, and on the relative position of associated plant and machinery. When the equipment is properly aligned, everything works more efficiently .
ACCURATE MEASUREMENTS IN ALL
Laser tracking has now become the industry standard in all types of mechanical engineering; the ability to achieve precise measurements in all types of environments, to create and establish a permanent reference system that allows the laser tracker to return to the same position, time and time again. This is becoming a critical feature for customers who need permanent reference points to base themselves on, months or even years into the future. It enables the customer to periodically collect measurement data showing the degree of wear, displacement or deterioration of all types of plant and equipment.
Using the latest laser measuring equipment, Metalock can measure even the most difficult-to-reach components and structures, providing accurate images and data that help the customer make well-informed decisions before any capital investment is made.
CUTTING MACHINING OF CRANKSHAFT JOURNALS ON SITE & IN SITU
In the event of engine faults that occur during ongoing operation, damage to the engine always occurs. It can be about bearings that cut and cause crankshaft damage or even a connecting rod that breaks through the crankcase wall and causes severe damage. The result is always the same – machine downtime and expensive repairs.
IS IT A NEW CRANKSHAFT? IS IT A NEW ENGINE? … NO!
Wherever you are in the world, the Metalock Engineering Group can offer a wealth of expertise and experience in the field of on-site cutting to salvage frame journal and crankshaft journals in large and small diesel engines.
WE HAVE BEEN DOING THIS TYPE OF WORK FOR DECADES.
If you have a problem, we're just a click or a phone call away. We have service centers around the world that offer 24/7–365 response in case of emergency breakdowns, wherever you are.
From decades of challenging work in marine propulsion and power, as well as industrial power generation applications, we know that in most cases we can solve your in situ crankshaft journal cutting problems without resorting to costly crankshaft disassembly.
