The Future Of Pipeline Industry At TOGC 2022

New mindsets in creating the future of the pipeline industry for both technical and business development sides were discussed at the Transportation Oil and Gas Congress 2022. The Congress gathered pipeline operators, NOCs, gas majors, EPCs, governmental bodies, storage operators, service providers and equipment manufacturers in Zurich, Switzerland on February 21-22, 2022.

The two-day business program included not only successful networking and interaction between top management, but also panel discussions, sessions, and a roundtable related to cutting-edge issues of industry. The representatives from TANAP, Trans Adriatic Pipeline, Equinor, South Stream Transport, Eni, McDermott UK, Energinet, OGE, and other majors discussed ways of reaching carbon neutrality and changing pipeline infrastructure.

The first day was opened by a welcome speech of Angelina Nizamova, Project Director, and Russel Herbert, Principal at AVEVA, at a plenary session where European major operators were talking about the commercial side of the cross-countries pipelines projects. Then the agenda was divided into technical and business development streams that comprised sessions about the crisis and change management, and increasing the life-cycle of pipelines. The productive networking concluded at Gala Dinner in Restaurant Die Waid with a breathtaking view over Zurich.

The second day of TOGC 2022 started with a panel discussion dedicated to sustainability requirements and strategies for carbon neutrality. Delegates had a chance to take part in sessions on corporate social responsibility in the pipeline market, zero-harm strategies in the workforce, and people-centric approach. Besides, there was a roundtable where top management of the oil and gas industry shared their opinions on the supply situation of oil and gas in Europe, green petrol, and its influence on the market. At the closing session speakers from Eni SpA, REN Portgas, Wood and Elpro discussed case-studies of digital solutions implementation.

The registration for the next edition of the Transportation Oil and Gas Congress is already open. The Congress will take place in Istanbul, Turkey on February, 20-21, 2023.
