The companies KARL DEUTSCH (www.karldeutsch.de) and MR CHEMIE (www.mr-chemie.de) are both internationally very successful medium-sized family businesses in the field of non-destructive materials testing.
In order to meet the increasing challenges of volatile market dynamics in an economically sensible and customer-oriented manner, both companies have decided on a joint strategic project-based product development in the area of their expanded product-portfolio.
It is also important to both companies to manufacture their high-quality product solutions in Germany. This ensures the high-quality standards of our customers and strengthens the local and national economy. At the same time, the dependence on – currently – unstable supply chains and strongly fluctuating raw material markets should be minimised.
One of the first joint projects is a new modern UV-LED-hand lamp which is completely developed and produced in Germany. This UV-LED-hand lamp comprised decades of experience of both companies and the feedback of our customers. The new version of a UV-LED-hand lamp with many advantages will be commercially available soon.
Further future developments from this strategic project-based alliance are the goal to support our partners and customers with new, optimised, and exciting NDT solutions.

Since its foundation in 1949, the owner-managed company KARL DEUTSCH has been engaged in the development and manufacture of equipment for non-destructive material testing. Mobile testing devices, stationary testing systems, sensors and chemical crack detection media for the testing methods UT, MT and PT are manufactured in two plants in Wuppertal by 130 motivated employees. Another 20 employees in foreign offices and a worldwide dealer network support the export business, which accounts for more than 60% of the turnover.
