Our mission at Senseven started with a simple idea: use algorithms and AI to revolutionize valve leak detection, challenging conventional NDT systems.

When we founded Senseven, we faced some challenges in a market with established competition, but we always focused on the additional value that digitization of inspection processes could provide to customers. Leadership for me is about empathy, vision, and empowering our team to pursue that vision together.

In an industry striving for gender balance, digitalization presents a unique opportunity to attract and retain female talent.

As we look forward, I'm excited by the potential digitalization holds for the NDT industry, promising a future rich with opportunities for innovation and inclusion. My advice to anyone interested in NDT is simple: the industry is evolving, and your contributions can help shape its future.

Embarking on a journey I never planned, I found my calling in NDT before I even fully understood what it was. My passion for improving infrastructure led me from Johns Hopkins labs to founding my own NDT consulting firm and leading the NDTMA.

Facing the industry as one of its few women, I encountered challenges but was driven by a resolve to innovate and advocate for diversity. My journey was propelled by mentorship, a spirit of resilience, and a commitment to change.

Today, with NDT evolving through technology like automation and AR, I see vast opportunities for women. The path isn't without hurdles, but it's rich with potential. To those considering NDT, embrace the challenges. Your unique perspective is the key to shaping the future of NDT.

I found my harbor in this vast sea quite by chance. I stumbled into NDT, as a part-timer that swiftly became my world. My journey, from a family company, selling Advanced UT Instruments to leading global distributor networks, has been nothing short of remarkable.

Today, as I reflect on the evolution of women in NDT, I'm heartened by the progress, yet mindful of the distance still to cover. From introducing customer-centric strategies that transformed my first company to mentoring the next generation, every step has been a step towards a more inclusive industry.

The advice I'd like to share? You don't need to compete with your colleagues, but learn, evolve and excel. Shine by being authentically you. Remember, "You define your own life. Don't let other people write your script." As the industry evolves, so too does our role within it, driven by a collective mission to foster diversity, inclusion, and innovation.

My journey was fueled by a relentless drive to learn and a commitment to integrity, guiding me through challenges and toward innovative solutions in NDT.

Diving into learning, from ASNT memberships to ultrasonic training, I transformed my initial inexperience into a strength. My journey underscored the importance of mentorship, humility, and the power of a diverse perspective in leadership.

Leading our ASNT section to its first Gold President's Award in decades, I've seen firsthand the evolving role of women in NDT and the industry's gradual shift towards inclusivity.

With every challenge faced and milestone achieved, I'm reminded of the larger purpose my work serves in the NDT community. Here's to the future of NDT, shaped by the contributions of many, where diversity and innovation continue to drive us forward.

My NDT journey began by chance, not choice, but it quickly became my passion. From an accidental start at the Technological University of the Philippines to becoming the first in our Philippine facility to achieve ASNT Level 3 certification, my path has been both challenging and rewarding.

Faced with doubts about my fit for NDT Level 3, I turned skepticism into motivation, studying secretly and passing the exams to prove my capabilities. This breakthrough not only marked a personal triumph but also advanced the representation of women in NDT, earning me recognition from ASNT.

In my leadership role, I champion integrity, communication, and mentorship, guiding the next generation of NDT professionals. I envision a future where the field is enriched with diverse talents, including more women who bring invaluable perspectives.

To women in NDT, remember: progress, no matter how small, is still progress. Inspired by Martin Luther King Jr., I believe in moving forward, always. My work in NDT is more than a job; it's a contribution to a safer world, a cause I'm proud to be part of.

Starting with a deep dive into materials science at Imperial College London, my career in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) unfolded through a blend of serendipity and passion. From developing high-temperature ultrasonic probes during my Engineering Doctorate at the University of Warwick to leading Sonemat Limited's operations, my path showcases the fusion of academic rigor with industry innovation.

Mentored by Professor Steve Dixon, I've navigated from research to real-world applications, tackling challenges like product development under stringent conditions with resilience and teamwork. My current role spans mentoring, spearheading projects like drone-based EMATs for inaccessible inspections, and pushing the envelope with new NDT technologies.

The core of my journey in NDT has been translating complex research into tangible, industry-shaping innovations. As the field evolves with AI and robotics, I'm excited about the future we're building—a safer, more efficient world through continuous NDT advancement.

My transition from welding to Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) was unexpected but transformative. Initially drawn to the field due to an injury, I quickly found my passion within the vast methodologies of NDT. From visual inspections to ultrasonics, my curiosity was piqued, leading me to pursue further education in NDE.

Now, as a leader in NDT, I'm part of the movement towards greater industry inclusion and awareness. My advice to newcomers is straightforward: embrace NDT’s opportunities. For women, especially, our field offers a canvas for impact and leadership.

Reflecting on my path from welder to NDT director, it's clear that this field is not just about detecting flaws but ensuring safety and advancing technology. It's a testament to the power of resilience and passion in shaping not just a career, but the future of NDT itself.
